High School and College

Do you have a student in or heading off to college or out on her own?

A young woman is never more at risk in her life than during her first semester of college. Our program can help!

A recent National Institute of Justice study found that 1 in 3 women in college are involved in an unwanted physical or sexual assault, and that 9 in 10 women knew the person who assaulted them. (Fischer et al., 2000, NCJ 182369)

ABC teaches skills that can and have been used by college women to stop unwanted attention and attempted acquaintance rape. ABC classes help high school and college students build the skills to protect themselves and the confidence to speak up against violence in their communities.

In cooperation with the Columbia County Sheriff's Department, our three hour program for High School and College students has been taught to hundreds of area students!

In addition to our expert self-defense instruction, some of the topics we cover include:

  • Recognizing dangers

  • Risk avoidance

  • Deescalation techniques

  • Drugs and alcohol awareness

  • Campus safety

  • Situational awareness

  • And MORE!

Experience the program that has been taught to hundreds of high school and college students throughout the area!
